Long before he achieved fame and fortune as a comedian, W.C. Fields garnered much acclaim for his "Pool Shark" routine, which he premiered on stage in 1903.
W.C. designed and built a trick pool table with a crank underneath. All fifteen pool balls were attached to strings. W.C. would push a lever and send each ball to a pocket.
W.C. made his film debut in the silent movie "Pool Sharks" in 1915, utilizing his special table.
